Annual End of Year Picnic Spring 2011

What a great turnout! We had almost 100% of our families able to come and celebrate our last day together

as Acorns and Mighty Oaks. Those Mighty Oaks will be starting Kindergarten next year... Wow how time flies!      Both Classes presented Brenda with Amazing thoughtful gifts that she will have to remember her year with the students she loves so much. Thank you to the parents who came and helped prepare the school by cleaning and polishing up the classroom to make it ready for the picnic.

Events

The Mighty Oaks & Acorn Families went on an enrichment outing to The Coppal House Corn Maze!

The Weather Was Typical Insane New Hampshire and Snowed on us in October!

The kids were real troopers though, they hung in there to the end. This years maze was a Turtle, and was the topic of all the clues. Adults and kids alike learned more than they expected about New Hampshires Native turtles that day!

The Mighty Oaks and Acorns Had their Field trip to Tecce Valley Apple Farm and it was WONDERFUL!

The Weather was Beautiful and the kids had a great time picking apples and running around in the green rolling hills. Tecce Farm is an amazing location and we all shared our favorite apple recipes on our Facebook page and the results looked TASTY!

Field Trip to Hickory Nut farm 2011

We are fortunate to have a baby goat farm just minutes away and the children learned so many new things there. They learned how cheese was made, how to milk a goat, how to bottle feed baby goats and lastly what a CHEESE CAVE looks and SMELLS like on the inside! Many of the parents really enjoyed seeing how cheese was aged. Hickory Nut farm was generous enough to give all the children samples of fresh goats milk, cheese and their homemade soaps. We were pleasantly surprised at how many really liked it. This was definitely one of the favorite trips of the year!

HUG A TREE SUMMER CAMP
Our  kids had a great time enjoying all the special activities at the camp. The first week the children planted a fairy garden and went on a walk in the woods and found 102 Lady slipper wild Orchids. The next few weeks they filled with fun activities including, building fairy houses, magic balloon experiments and painting with bubbles.  The parents even had fun helping their children gather items from nature to bring in to build their fairy houses. Fairy's LOVED the shiny and pretty things!
